our chief washington correspondent, jon karl, our senior political correspondent, rachel scott. jon, let me begin with you. you've covered so many of these addresses. we've never seen one quite like this. >> look, we've grown accustomed to partizan. state of the union addresses deeply divided reactions. but this, george, really did hit a new level. and that's for a couple of reasons. first of all, in that chamber, the republicans are more fervent in their support of donald trump than anything we saw in his first term. remember, in his first term, there were still pockets of resistance among republicans in congress. even the republican leaders weren't fully all in on everything. trump, those republicans in that chamber, truly loved what they hear and reflected that. and the democrats clearly haven't figured out how to respond to all of this. some of them decided to skip the speech entirely. some decided to walk out. you saw al green decided to get thrown out of the speech, but they haven't really landed on how to respond to donald trump. i suspect that the reaction in the country
