i'm reggie aqui.ack a contract dispute in the south bay that could result in a strike that would leave commuters without bus or train service. the contract between the vta and atu local 265 employees has officially expired. the union represents 1500 customer service reps, maintenance staff and dispatchers, as well as bus and light rail operators. they appear to be 9% off when it comes to a salary increase. so far, there is no date for a strike. and speaking of getting around this morning, how's our traffic? >> and we will be following, by the way. reggie, that vta strike for you, making sure you know where your backup plans are. right now, we've got a golden gate transit ferry delay. this is the sausalito ferry. they're claiming mechanical issues, so i believe they put in the slow boat, which usually runs 10 to 15 minutes behind. metering lights continue to be on with a pretty gnarly commute, actually. 80 westbound all the way to and through this backup. >> thank you. so we're going where is monday at

i'm reggie aqui. it is 723.weeks, police are investigating a shooting on highway 24. the latest incident shut down all westbound lanes near orinda for about an hour yesterday. and as you can see, that backed up traffic for miles. an suv was struck by gunfire. the 66 year old man behind the wheel managed to avoid getting seriously hurt. sky seven, found some people who just gave up and started to walk away from the highway. last tuesday, someone fired several shots on highway 24 in oakland, striking a driver in the legs. so hopefully we can keep a calm on the roads today. >> yeah, so far, so good. at least at 24. we do have metering lights on at the bay bridge as of 535 this morning, with a significant backup here. it's about a 20 minute delay to get to and through the tolls from the back of the line, and then you find yourself on the brakes through most of the span over to the city, even slow, and go on the richmond-san rafael bridge behind the toll plaza. this is pretty typical. we do have reports of an acciden
