as nbc bay area storm ranger parked atop san bruno mountain tracks at all, we're tracing how long this rain is expected to stick around. good morning, and thanks so much for joining us. i'm laura garcia. and i'm marcus washington. we want to begin with that rain moving through the bay area. meteorologist kari hall joining me now with a look at where that system is right now. and kari looks like majority of it has moved out of the area. yeah. and this is mainly been a south bay issue for the morning, which is great news because the south bay is the area that really needed the rainfall. it's not the north bay. and we're going to continue to see some of these showers linger. look at how heavy that rain is falling as we track it with storm ranger right between morgan hill, san martin and gilroy. that's where that rain is really pouring down. it's been a lot more light and scattered for san jose and for the east bay. we've also seen the rain moving through. it's all part of a larger storm system that is really headed for the central coast and southern california. it's going to already start
