i'm a resident of district eight valley and i was involved in a project there called noy valley town square and also promoting a slow street there called slow sanchez and about three years ago i got together with a friend of mine in noÉ valley, eric iceland who produces dear assaf and we started talking about how we could do something downtown that looked a little bit like north valley town square someplace that people could really get together someplace that really celebrated san francisco arts, food and culture. so we created a group called friends of embarcadero bricks and we got together with danny souder and many others and robbie and aaron and three years later here we are and this is just such a great example of how san francisco is a very unique place and people who really love it are constantly working for it in many different ways and every so often a hero rises up like aaron and be zippy and things become possible that are really incredible for this city. so i really hope that you'll honor that all of the work that's been done by all these great citizens and help us make t
