i love the work so much so i chose to stay on and i'm going to be a volunteer just to be able to learn the advance production skills and help the next generation of interns, so after graduating from college at sf state they offered me a job. they were employed me and have a real career in media and technology and actually make a living doing what i love. three years later i have been able to accomplish a lot more and continue to produce great videos, improve my skills, i continue to improve my skills but more importantly i am able to mentor the next set of interns and providing the support and training i received and i am able to give back in a way that feels good, and i think ultimately now i'm able to hire them for studio media work, so a typical day for me -- i'm the production manager at bay cat is going to pacific heights and for filming and award video and then back to the office, work with a program team to assign the next sf tech internship and mentoring bernie king who is here in the audience with us. he's one of the graduate interns and mentor him in his production company st

that, i would likely drown. so you get this extra energy and. i forced myself up on this bumper. and as i did that, one of the other fellas had gone to the after end of the ship and we had some 30-foot launches tied up there. he got one of those launches and started it up and brought it around by us. he told us to jump in. he said i'm not stopping because there's japanese fighters all over the place so i jumped into this launch and i hit one of the benches. and since i was so oily, i just about slipped out the other side. this is the third time i've been back. and the first time was the hardest because it's kind of like facing all your friends that you don't have anymore. if anybody talked to me about the arizona or whatnot, it wasn't that i didn't try, but i had a real hard time trying to talk. but this time, that wasn't the case. i've been able to kind of get over that. and. i prayed for all of these men on this ship. there wasn't a man that i know of that wouldn't have fought to the death to preserve our nation.

so i like the quality. i did that on purpose this one. ry, very light from the top, so it run down all the way. so her headdress, her jewelry, everything just embedded, almost, with the background. i could never imagine i could have done this in china, because of the way i was trained. i like to surprise myself. that's why i think it's a sense of liberation, of freedom. another day, another dollar. another day, another penny, but i feel great. i was somehow energized by the other painting. sometimes i feel like the writer's block. i have a painter's block, too. i felt yesterday i just couldn't do this anymore. today i came in the morning, and somehow i just felt i changed my attitude. i was not too frustrated. also, i i felt i was ready this morning. it's good i don't have a phone here. i don't need the interruptions. the dog and the train sounds enough for me. i want to finish this painting in time for the new york show. [ sighs ] hello. everybody, i'm home. okay. all right. how did you feel about what you did today? i'm proud of myself.
