good morning i'm chris riva. riva.i'm kathrine nero.-dry but mostly cloudy today (yea!!)-snow likely on friday, heaviest in afternoon/evening hours-nky will see our highest snowfall totals from this system while it's a quiet morning for the tri-state, we are tracking another chance for snow coming for friday. in a nutshell, it looks on the light side for greater cincinnati, but a significant snow for northern kentucky and brown and adams counties in ohio. for thursday, skies will be mostly for the most part main roadways are looking pretty clear after yesterday's snow. but in many neighborhoods... its a different story. road crews were slow to clear those streets... and in some cases.. the snow is stll packed down.. leaving a slippery white sheet of snow and ice. nine on your side's john genovese has been checking those streets overnight. he in some spots-it's hard to tell where the street meets the curb "snow (laugh) snow everywhere"the white stuff - blanketing this evanston neighborhood "a lot of snow - a lot of cold - a lot of wind blowing" cars covered--"a lot of slip

chris riva, philip lee and i will be at all the xavier hot spots starting wednesday. the uc bearcats had more hearbreak than most...but they can make up for up this week when they begin tournament play at the west reigonal in spokane. there were doubts about uc in the past couple of it's the bearcats up against the st joseph hawks..a team we used to see a lot when xavier was in the atlantic ten conference. phil martelli is still the coach there and is still winning...the hawks won 27 times this season. keenen singleton gets the frequent flyer points...he's on his way to spokane to cover the bearcats. bearcats.meanwhile the kentucky wildcats won the sec tournament....and coach cal wonders why they ever bothered because they ended up with a number four seed and he thought it should have been better. at any rate..it's kentucky against stony brook in round one. the reds cleared out some lockers in goodyear today. they optioned and re-assignened eleven players. pitcher carlos contreras was sent to louisville...pitchers rookie davis and amir garrett best sign from sunday in
