that explosion happened a half mile down there off of crocker road. but all the way down hear at the corner of crocker and detroit is that brown building. we spoke to a woman who works inside that building. she says as soon as she heard that loud boom, she popped up, went to the window, put her hand against the window and she could feel the intense heat. kristin volk, newschannel5. >> the new headquarters was just months away from completion before the explosion. investigator sarah buduson has been digging into the background of the company that provided those propane tanks. >> reporter: chris, i just it shows amerigas, a national supplier of propane gas, provided those takes. osha investigators were immediately sent to the scene. tonight they are still trying to figure out what caused the fire that led to the explosion. we do know amerigas leased the tanks to the construction company building the new office space last summer. safety records show amerigas was fined $9,000 for a safety violation in 2012. but there have been no issues at crocker parkp e

so, i'm going to start with ambassador crocker. ambassador, you were ambassador to iraq between 2007 and 2009, which, as we all know, was a period of really quite dramatic stabilization in the country. when you look back to that time, how do you account for the shift from violence to stabilization and the shift from a very, you know, part of the population being very alienated from the political process towards their willingness to really take part and to give baghdad a chance? >> well, thanks, and it's a pleasure to be here. let me just say a word about our larger purpose, the future of iraq task force. it's ax matic that iraq will have a future. the question is whether the u.s. is going to be part of that future, seeking to shape, channel, guide processes to a better place than what we're seeing right now. i approach this with these 25 experts that had been assembled, all of whom know more about iraq than i do. it may not sound like it as we pontificate up here, but as we go into the task force, it is with a very open mind to tak
