how would you describe the
spanish market to me?
>> well, the banking environment
in europe in general is
challenging, despite which we
continued to grow our revenues
and we improved credit quality,
and were able to cut
costs.
ultimately, the market
conditions in europe and
specifically in spain are
clearly weaker than in latin
america.
we have a very strong presence
in high-growth markets in latin
america, and that is what what
compensated a bit of the weaker
performance in europe.
