kelly? >> all right kayla, thank you kayla tausche. >>> we've got a news alert on lowe's now to get to leslie picker has that story leslie >> reporter: hey, kelly, that's right. following reports that de shaw took an activist position in lowe's, we have been able to confirm with several sources here at cnbc that is, indeed, true they are having dialogue so far, though, that dialogue has remained behind the scenes i've tried to get a bit more information, a bit more color about what they're pushing for at lowe's specifically doesn't look like they're pushing for a sale or consolidation of any kind at this time. that the focus of those conversations are more about the stock being undervalued relative to peers and providing suggestions on what they can do to boost that stock. also, we're still trying to understand exactly how big of a stake they have at this point in time we don't know those numbers right now, but we're going to continue reporting we'll let you know if we get that,...
