gilbreath, one of the people who
helps run this post.
over a game of pool, we start

his life forever.
when did you serve in iraq?
>> in '04 to '04.

gilbreath was in kuwait as the
war began.
he was about a abrams tank
system mechanic and was part of
the invasion of saddam hussein's
iraq.
he joined the army in 1999 and
still serves in the national
guard.
>> seemed like it was all going
to smooth out and iraq could
continue on a nice path.
>> reporter: it was of course
anything but a nice path.
more than 500 soldiers from fort
hood, texas, were killed serving
in iraq.
