say is because they had both
reached out to the white house
and asked them how executive
privilege might affect their
testimony.
they never heard back from the
white house.
it was only once in private when
they talked to two separate
investigative teams that it came
out that each of them was asked
by the president or at least
were saying that the president
suggested to them that they make
public statements that there was
no collusion...
