alignment in this country and it
is two different groups.
you got suburban america that

republican stronghold.
particularly women, are moving
away from the republican party
to where the democratic party.
at the same time, we have
small-town america,
working-class whites without a
four-year college degree, and
protestants and catholics who go
to church at least once a week,
they are trending away from
democrats towards the republican
party.
we are seeing very much a real
alignment in american politics.
the problem for republicans is
there are a lot more people in
the suburbs.
