party conference that you and i observed and commented on around two weeks ago as
you remember the s.p.d.
was very very reluctant to enter into coalition talks at all and they held
a party conference
a session essentially to get their party delegates ok on moving forward on the
basis of original initial exploratory talks they'd had with the conservatives there
had been a kind of
a general agreement after those exploratory talks and at that party conference the
delegates said hey we have to up the ante epi ante on two of these points those two
points are the two points they are hung up on here tonight and they are labor law
it's very important for the s.p.d.
for their base to really move against limited time contracts where there's no
clear reason for the contracts to be temporary essentially this is about stability
