we've been walking around the
union this morning and there
aren't many ashtray stands set
up.
we only found one place this
morning that suggests that it
would be an okay place to smoke
here.
but this request came at the
request of stanford university
that the two vendors that do
sell cigarettes stop selling
them here by march 1.
the university already has a
smoke-free environment policy.
that bans smoking in classes,
offices, enclosed buildings and
resident halls, to smoke outside
you basically have to be at
least 30 feet away or more from
any building.
stanford says that it is an
advocate for health and well
being and tobacco sales,
