the water district said it needs
another $450 million to
construct those projects, money
the water district doesn't
currently have.
so it put the project on hold to
see if it could produce water
flows further upstream closer to
anderson dam for a similar flood
protection at a cheaper price.
but reports from the water
district until that new planning
process isn't scheduled to begin
until 2019 which means partial
construction won't be done until
2025.
but santa clara valley water
district said the board will
meet in the next few weeks to
discuss whether money from other
projects could be converted to
communities along coyote creek.
and potential fixes could still
be years away.
