>> thank you. we'll have much more on this story coming up on the kpix 5 news at 5:00 and online, of course, kpix.com. >>> new details today about the shooting death of former nfl defensive back and bay area native terrell roberts. his family says he was killed last night on fascination circle in richmond in his grandmother's backyard. kpix 5's jackie ward has the latest on the case. >> reporter: police here in richmond tell me that around 4:10 yesterday afternoon, terrell roberts was hit in the chest by a single bullet and it killed him. the suspect is still out there. >> from what we've learned, it was a disturbance in the garage. the shooting occurred in a garage and he stumbled to the backyard. >> reporter: clyde tucker has lived here for 36 years and said he had known roberts since i was little. >> i see him, we have talks d i would, you know, give him encouragement and stuff to keep it straight and everything. so yeah, he was a great kid.
