a very long interview with him
three years ago when he
discussed how he overcame a
staph infection in his knee to
play and about three weeks
before the season started a
friend of his was in doing rehab
with him and he looked down and
he thought the knee looked like
a human brain.
that's how bad... in such bad
condition it was.
because of the staph infection.
but the thought of missing a
game was so distasteful and so
almost reprehensible to him that
he played probably before he
should have played but if he
didn't play it would have
bothered him for the rest of his
life.
