the last couple weeks, getting
the word out about this
neighborhood safety summit.
the planning board started
weeks ago and as you can see
from the lists here, back then
chief the police was anthony
batts.
but he resigned earlier this
week and now it's interim
police chief howard jordan who
will be stepping in in this new
role and being at this
neighborhood safety summit that
starts just about an hour from
now.
now, jordan was sworn in as
interim chief a couple days
ago.
this will be his first
community meeting in the new
role.
the mayor and other oakland
school district and county
leaders will be at the
neighborhood safety summit.
