the painting is what paint does. and you have to be a kind of straw in the wind. you have to give in to what the master, paint, does in the picture. and you give in to it. you paint what it's telling you to do. man: people talk to us a great deal, and, you know, they come in steadily to see the work that you're doing and have been doing with images. and even once in a while, you know, somebody buys one.
