were at the hearing today on the
crisis on the border and the
emergency legislation to try to
handle it.

>> it does seem improbable to
me, given congressional politics
right now, that president obama
is going to get what he's asking
for in terms of surging
resources to deal with this
situation on the border.
what is your sense of it?
>> well, i'm very hopeful that
we'll be able to take his
proposal and justify it and make
sure it does what it needs to do
to handle some 60,000 kids, most
of them from the age of 14 to
18, on the border.
look, we've got a big problem.
we cannot ignore it like we've
ignored the highway trust fund
and like we've ignored
immigration reform and like
we've ignored so many things...
