voting rights to be a focus,
100% focus of the senate, 100%
focus of the presidency, 100%
focus of congress, and that was
in 2021, which is an
odd-numbered year.
what's the realistic chances you
will be able to make changes in
an even-numbered year?

this is a moment of truth for
protecting the future of our
democracy, as you say, we're
coming up on the anniversary of
the notorious attacks on our
democracy of january 6th and
since that failed to overturn
the presidential election you
have seen these
republican-controlled state
legislatures putting up barriers
to voting and in some cases
putting in place provisions that
would allow partisan elected
officials to overturn the count.
so we've got to do that, this is
a now or never moment.
