the afghan government, u.s.
military and defense secretary
leon panetta who is wrapping up
his two-day visit with a meeting
with president karzai are trying
to much as much as they can
between themselves and this
incident.
the afghan defense minister
described the shooting as
deplorable but said it is
important to move on and over
the next two year it is united
states military and afghan
government will work closely
together.
there was a protest of about
1,000 people.
they want the staff sergeant
returned, tried in the country.
we haven't seen nationwide
demonstrations.
it's a level the afghan
government has been able to
contain.
