and two big metropolitan areas,
around denver and dallas.
denver, large hail, amazing
pictures coming out of there,
the kusa website, pictures of
quarter to golf ball size hail,
a lot of funnel clouds reported
too, and weak tornadoes, seven
of them.
dallas area, that is where we
also saw storms, 30,000 people
lost power at one point, now
it's starting to calm down a
little bit.
a lot of lightning strikes
shifted to the south of the
dallas-fort worth area, waco
dealing with big thunderstorms
on interstate 35.
5000 or 6,000 lightning strikes
in this region over the last
hour.
those storms should be slowly
weakening, in denver the storms
have moved out and we're looking
at dry morning.
over the next 48 hours the best
chances for additional
thunderstorms definitely florida
along the gulf coast, northern
plains, and from dallas in areas
just south of oklahoma city.
the forecast today, this is
feeling just like summer out
there in many areas, dry
morning, sunshine, pop the
thunderstorms up...
