breaking news at the westfield wheaton mall where two people were stabbed. they are fighting for their lives. richard reeve got to the scene. what can you tell us? did this happen inside the mall or outside? richard: this happened just outside the mall. set the stage first. look behind me. many of the exits are clogged with vehicles. they have evacuated many of the people out of the mall. we don't know how extensive it is. pan to the left. this is where we think the activity happened at 3:137 this afternoon. came out first as an assault call and later on when the police arrived or first responders arrived they determined it was a situation involving a stabbing or a cutting. one person is in custody. one one person injured. that is what we know at this point.
