wendy rieger has more. >> reporter: seth horvitz says he was in shock and disbelief when he opened the package and there was this gun. he thought the box might have the stand for the tv until he found an army style assault weapon. he snapped a few photos of the surprise delivery. it turns out he ordered the tv through a seller who shipped it by u.p.s. and the address label for his television was put on the gun accidentally. the rifle was supposed to go to a gun store in pennsylvania. horvitz and his wife were hosting a dinner party that night and the meal had to be put on hold as they found the manual and started to research information about the rifle. >> it was ten or 15 minutes where i was alone with the thing. and they came in and saw it. we were talking about what to do. once we found some information that led us to believe it was an illegal weapon in the district we called the police.
