started at 10:30 i'm told is
corporal maria mckenny with
prince george's county police.
this all started at 10:30 you
said with an arrest warrant.
let's start from the very top.
>> shortly before 10:30
yesterday evening, prince
george's county police officers
responded to the 8100 block
here in adelphi, maryland to
assist u.s. marshals who were
attempting to serve an arrest
warrant on an individual.
once the officers got on scene
and shortly thereafter, a
barricade was called.
>> reporter: we know that every
one in the area is safe.
we don't believe that the
suspect at this point is
holding anyone hostage.
you were explaining that other
people have been evacuated?
>> that is correct.
