starting off the weekend on a little snowy note. g to be happy to see a lot of the snow in denver. we've already seen over a foot. three to four feet through the foothills. be careful traveling through the plains and the rockies this weekend. showers and thunderstorms, that's what we have to worry about across the ohio valley and through the southeast. some of the storms could be on the strong side. as we look at the temperatures, you notice why we're seeing the showers and thunderstorms. look at all the warmth, really feeding some of these storms. 80s for orlando, 66 for atlanta. denver, 20 degrees below average. now we kick into sunday, speaking of kicking, talking about the super bowl. it's a tough forecast. very close to seeing a little precipitation here and cool enough it could be a little morning snow showers. the good news is it won't be heavy. the showers and the thunderstorms, however, continue across the deep south. if you're looking for the warmest temperatures in the country, places like orlando, miami, talking about 80s

yuts right now a little snow still coming down. is is penn quarter in downtown washington, northwest washington. a few stray snowflakes can be found. certainly not enough to stick to the very warm pavement and sidewalks in downtown washington. and you sort of saw that in darcy's video as well. the big roads are just fine. get on the grassy areas south of downtown. there's just a little bit of a coating out there but not much going on in downtown washington. kind of a quiet sunday night out there. just a little mix of light rain and light snow. 36 degrees now here in washington. winds have come back around to the west at only five miles per hour. metro temperatures, warmer temperatures the further north you go. still a little bit suppressed, some colder air down to andrews air force base, hunter county, fort bevel oir. fredricksburg, all a lot closer to the freezing mark because they've had a little bit more of a sustained period with the light snow. it's been all very light rain across far northern maryland. and your president's day

so, rain and a little light snow lingering through this morning. early afternoon, though, all that will be gone and we might even see a break or two of sunshine coming in later on this afternoon. but here's the way it looks on live radar now. light sprinkles around downtown washington, light snowflakes now across much of northern maryland, hagerstown, down i-70 towards frederick toward northern parts of the 270 corridor from damascus to clarksbu clarksburg, light snow there. the panhandle of west virginia, light snow. these are mostly rain drops, but there's probably a few snowflakes mixed in across central and southern fairfax county, through the heart of the district and into prince george's county. this is light rain now, southern prince george's, right around the anne arundel and calvert county line, down towards huntingtown. so be on the lookout for wet roads and maybe a couple slippery spots first thing this morning. but the back end of the precipitation is already moving through pittsburgh, so i think the drier air is clearly going to win th
