the call came in this morning a little before 11. a hostage situation at a townhome in this community the information we received is that one of the parties had a bomb strapped to his chest and also was holding a family member hostage. police say when they arrived they found a 15 year old boy in front of the residents on hearts election hill lane. they crowbar and began to aggressive ly approach one of the officers. at that point one of the officers discharged his department issued firearm at the individual and viking him. we're told police stayed with him and provided aid until emergency crews arrived. he was pronounced dead at the scene a short time after. i've never seen anything like that in my life as i looked out the front of my house and saw it just there. neighbors told fox5 they happened to be there right when crews were korveg the body. the body was laying for a while. that was out in the open. my tomorrow just went to my knees. and tonight that singing feeling remains for this community. as detectives worked to gather more

a little bit of drizzle this morning. for the afternoon, we are cooling it down. we have a system bringing this change in the weather pattern. at the top of the cloud cover you can see a little bit of blue skies. looks like it maybe a late burn off for some. here is a view of that system. that rain continuing to push through washington, organize and even northern california. here we are too far south. we get the cool down. we get a little bit of wind this afternoon. it could be gusty in our hills. a second system through wednesday will bring that rain line a little farther down. i'll show you what i mean here. partly cloudy away from the coast. tuesday is a repeat. temperatures will be similar to today. by wednesday take a look what is going on here. all the way down to the morning hours. if it holds together could see pass it through central and south bay. for today the showers will remain north of us. partly cloudy. temperatures from the 60s at the coast. 70s around the bay. upper 70s for our warmer locations. outside 63

so it has slowed a little bit and it is expected to come towards florida as a category 5. they do expect it to strengthen to 160 miles per hour, saturday night into sunday morning in towards the florida keys and right to south florida. now, south florida, under a hurricane warning. most of central florida, now, daytona beach all the way down the i-4 corridor, down towards fort myers now under a hurricane watch. they will most likely be upgrading the watch to a warning over the next 24 hours. of course that's farther to the north. i mentioned the storm surge. this is going to be huge. the latest forecast happened a little bit farther to the west. in these areas of southwest floridhe this could go in for miles, upwards of 30 miles inland. of course, this is mostly the ever glades, but around naples and fort myers. it could be devastating there. what does the storm surge like this mean, let's go with amelia a little more on that. >> the winds are one thing, we can see a lot more damage from the storm surge. take a look, here is a map that doug was showing. a little bit more d

so it's going to be a little crazy out there. may want to do your hair in a ponytail today because drizzle and wind is in our forecast. jaclyn, what's happening on the roads? >>> we're tracking a major accident that has all lanes blocked on westbound 580 as you approach eden canyon road. it's two big rigs and another vehicle involved. right now, speeds are in the red as you approach the scene there. so if you are getting ready to head out, do not continue along westbound 580. you can always head north on 680 and then take 24 over, or you can head south on 680. but do expect delays no matter which way you go. it's going to be a slow ride. right now, 60 minutes just between 680 and 238. the backups, the usual slowdowns along westbound 580 heading through the altamont pass. speeds around 30 miles per hour. 25 minutes between 205 and 680. we'll continue to monitor this accident. but for now, i'll send it back over to you guys. >>> this morning, president trump and top democrats are telling two different stories about their meeting to
