you are watching abc seven at 5:00 a.m. live here on abc 7. i am liz kreutz. let's get a quick look at the weather with the sergeant. you have a timeline of the storm coming in. lisa: this is a lot of rain. a strong atmosphere river. this time tomorrow, we will be hitting the north bay. it is dry. we will be looking at the system dropping to the south steadily throughout the day tomorrow. as we look at our storm impact scale, right now, level 1 with light rain showers mainly in the afternoon or evening. as we look at our current numbers, we are in the mid-50's in marinda and hayward. 49 in pacifica. it is a chilly start out there, anywhere from four to 11 degrees cooler than we were yesterday at this time. here is a look at yesterday this morning. we are looking at showers along the coastal hears and northbay. -- coastal hills and northbay. today is a good day to get out there and secure those loose objects, trim some trees and clean out the gutters. by midnight, we are looking at rain getting heavier along the coast. this is when we bring in our level 3 syste

dan lieberman, abc news. as if schools did not have enough to deal with right now, one south bay district is scrambling to put teachers in front of students because they have a sub shortage. amy hollyfield is here with the classroom crunch we are seeing in san jose. officials say they have lost about half of their substitute teachers. they usually can rely on having about 200 subs to call each day. now they are down to 100. with fewer people now willing to come to the classroom to teach, the unified school district is having to turn to other personnel, like counselors. counselors say this means they are giving kids in need less attention. administrators say this is not ideal, but they need everyone's help in this situation. >> ima full-time counselor. now i am an 80% counselor, 20% on-call stuff to do teacher. >> normally we count on 200 people a day to be able to 70 classroom. this will your -- sub in a classroom. this year, it is 100. people are not coming back in the same numbers yet. amy: counselors say,
