is a lot of interest and concern expressed about the growth projections and how we're trying to accommodate them in the city and i would like to have a discussion with you as we best can about this issue of growth and how we are trying to accommodate it, particularly in the context of the center corridor plan, so if i could have the overhead we will get started on this. as you know first i'm going to start with regional projections and talk about the projections for san francisco and how we're trying to accommodate some of that growth. as you know this was developed for a sustainable community strategy and implements these things to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. the regional projections are here. they project that the bay area which is the nine counties that touch the bay will grow by 2 million people and add 1 million jobs and housing units and that is about 2/3 of the city of san francisco -- no, more than that. that is double the size of san francisco and while they have projections by county it's clear that number is coming to the bay area and whether they will go to each county the

they have been nothing less than accommodating, and courteous and respectful. and you know at the end of the day, it is a restaurant, bar, so there is going to be the realities of that. but, there has not been one time that i haven't you know, approached them, or asked them for any type of accommodation that they have not given me 100 percent of their attention and treated me respectfully. also, they made it available to me, and to all of the other renters they offered to put in new double pained sound-proof windows. i used to live on the first floor, literally in the eye of the storm and they bent over backwards to assist me with another unit that might be a little further from the restaurant. as well as when they do have events they post up notices in within the building, and every public place and letting us know in advance what times and what to expect. and i mean i can't say enough about these guys. i... my experience with them has been absolutely, 100 percent and i have no reason to believe they have kept their word up until now and made themselves availa

so we're going to try to figure out how not to move buildings back but how do we accommodate all of the diverse trucks and pedestrians and traffic. it's difficult to make it all work. so that first option makes modest improvements. in this option is makes significant improvements for cycle folks but without compromising this the trade-off would be it would be a great bicycle facility but there's a separate bike lane in both directs. it would still leave the 4 vehicle traffic lanes and still leaving for the space here. the downside is it makes the sidewalks smaller. but we -- there's some areas where we don't have space in order to do that such as where the cycle folks would have to come back into the traffic. so we have conflicts. so the third opening statements and this really came out of the team and some other discussions we had of some inability to get out of fixed straight of what you. that maybe came as a surprise and look at it market mission as a quarter and not just market street. so once you admission street into the mix now you have a whole a lot more right away and it expand
