snow accumulation was not great yesterday in the pocono mountains. it was snow and then a mix of snow and rain. so, you can still see some clearer areas of grass in camelback this morning, but accumulating snow and just snow later this afternoon and tonight in the pocono mountains. they will get a nice coating, possibly up to 4 inches in higher elevations. 42 for wilmington, philadelphia, northeast philadelphia, all above freezing for delaware county. swart more's down to 39 degrees. it's in the 40s for walling ford and marcus hook and chillier for st. davids, new town square. temperatures have gone down a couple degrees since we first went on the air. clouds are breaking, clearing for delaware and north jersey, but it is moving into areas north and west. we'll be watching for showers to redevelop this afternoon. it's going to take much of the day, though, for those clouds to take over this morning. look at 10:00 this morning. you see the clouds north and west. by early afternoon we'll be watching some scattered rain and snow showers, but look at the

the poconos will see accumulation tonight. flood watch in effect for north and east of philadelphia. that's where the heaviest of the rain is. we're also getting a back side of the storm just in the western suburbs. eventually, as the colder air comes in, some of that could change over to snow. we're seeing a little bit of that up in some of the poconos right now. just in the last few minutes, a bit of a mix with some snow. you can see on the futurecast, periods of rain as we go throughout the day. but the changeover is generally coming after midnight tonight, except for the poconos, it will come sooner. this is one of the computer models. to give you an idea of what the potential is, predicting up to three inches of snow in the poconos by tomorrow morning and even some as we head down into the north and western areas by tomorrow evening. that is a possibility. here is another model. as we see again, north and west starting in the poconos and there may be bands of heavier snow in some of the western counties, berks county and

let's talk about the results, the accumulation. lake tahoe almost two feet of pressure powder in squaw, over a foot in heavenly, 21 inches in sugar bowl. with that said, we've also got rain on the way. you really want to stick around and stay tuned for the forecast if you're going to be making that drive. it can be dangerous even without the active weather. you can see light, spotty activity. line rain will move onshore and then between noon and five, we'll get a break before the next rain of heavy rain arrives. we take you into the 1:00 hour today. maybe a few pop-up thunderstorms embedded within those light showers. take you to the 7:00 hour and a nice dry break that will continue into the first part of your friday. once it starts to come in, this will likely come in during your drive home from work and that could make for dangerous driving conditions. you'll likely be better off waiting until saturday afternoon to get over the hill, if that's where you're trying to go or leaving today even because it's kind of a transition day.

that is a winter storm warning and that is for accumulation. wind is our other issue. we have a wind advisory along the the coast, atlantic, half of burlington and ocean counties, 25 to 35 miles an hour sustained wind, 45 miles an hour gusts, at the shore. so here it is, nor'easter is here. we'll it is throwing back a lot of moisture off the ocean, anywhere wee yellow and orange. it is in new jersey. we have a periodic bought of downpours here in the philadelphia metro area but moving further north and west and you might see some sleet mixed in parts of the chester county around west goshen our charlestown. pottstown you can see sleet with heavy rain, it looks very dicey in the lehigh valley, allentown and easton, with the pink there milk in with the rain, so you could be some -- seeing some sleet and ice mixed in but it is deluge at the shore. sea isle city, orange and yellow here, cape may, atlantic city, jersey shore pounding with rain and wind isn't helping either. the it is 38 degrees in philadelphia we are well above freezing. we should stay with rain. wind chill
