ace train and the commute tomorrow, we'll hopefully have an update for you by 6:00 tonight. back to you. >>> passengers who weren't hurt were taken to the alameda fairgrounds and reunited with loved ones. many we talked with were visibly shaken. >> very jarring ride. for a little bit we weren't sure what happened because it was dark and we couldn't see what was going on. >> slid for quite a while. i wasn't sure if we were going to turn over or not. um, as soon as i knew we were stable, started listening for the creatures. people were crying for help and -- started listening for screams. people were crying for help and i went to look for the conductor. >>> about 6:15 a train went through the area no problem. so sometime between 6:15 and 7:15 there was a mud slide across the tracks. ace train 10 hit the mud slide and it went into the creek. by 10 p.m. all passengers had been accounted for. it wasn't easy for rescue crews. >> partially in the creek. niles canyon - rushing water of the creek. our team >> part of what made that rescue so tricky is the steep terrain of niles canyon and the rushing water creek. our team coverage continues with kpix 5's len ramirez on the rescue efforts.
