meteorologist, adam joseph, is tracking irma's movements.e latest from double scan. >> including florida you want to prepare in georgia and south carolina and north carolina. and they could also take a direct hit from irma. we look at the satellite we see the circular eye and the good out flow of the clouds that continue to fuel this storm right now it is moving to the north of puerto rico. puerto rico is going to be spared from the hurricane force winds but move ago way from the u.s. and british virgin islands and up next is the turk and caicos to take the direct hit. hurricane warnings include turks and caicos and the southern part of the bahamas, and tropical storm warnings and hurricane watches and extends into the central and northern part of the bahamas, still a category five storm for more than 24 hours, winds sustained at 185 miles per hour. that say record for any hurricane in history. in the atlantic to maintain that strength for this long. and again turks and caicos is friday afternoon as a category five, it squeezes its way throu

friday afternoon, let's head outside to meteorologist adam joseph taking us into the weekend as we say so long to september, adam, hm. >> yes, we begin the new month on sunday here as were he he we go into that october. take a look at the numbers on monday in philadelphia. we were at 91 degrees. way above that normal of 73 degrees and we've been slipping ever since but that 89 on tuesday to 85 on wednesday. even that 78 yesterday is above that normal and today we're just 2 degrees shy of it despite that it does feel on the coolish side. temperatures to our north in the 60's right now for burlington syracuse. that is it. even pittsburgh right now settling in around 71 degrees. so, it is friday night. if you're heading out on the town here, bring a light jacket, 65 degrees at 9 o'clock under a mainly clear sky. a few clouds bubbling up by 11 o'clock at 62 degrees. the low overnight 56 degrees. but then more changes do come. you can see this spin strong low pressure and an associated cold front with some clouds and showers working its way from the northwest to the south and east. i'll let

meteorologist adam joseph is live at the "action news" big board tonight with irma's latest track. >>ck shifted a little bit to the west from earlier this afternoon. right now still a category four storm but only 1 miles per hour shy of a cat five. it's at 155 miles an hour moving to the west at 12 about 345 miles away from miami at this point but the latest update brings it in as a category five, would be sunday morning at this time period with winds near 160 miles an hour sustained, winds gusting to near 200 anywhere near key largo, marathon to key west and then towards naples florida and then it will that continue to work up the western coast of florida but still affecting the entire state giving the shear -- given the shear scope and size of the storm, even near fort myers as a category four and then it's down to a tropical storm in northern florida near jacksonville and then becomes a tropical depression by tuesday in atlanta. storm surge, so it's the kind of triple threat you have the wind storm surge and fresh water flooding. even on the east coast of florida five to 10-foot st

adam joseph is here with the forecast. >> we get the showers out of the way by the time the weekend gets here that is the brighter part of the forecast and until then a warm front that continues to drift to the north and west. those were the concentrated showers we had earlier and the downpours are now well to the northern and west and it looks dry right now we are dealing with drizzle out there in spots and a lot of low lying cloud cover with the higher humidity and low pressure that was originally irma still in the ohio and tennessee valley and you see some scattered showers and downpours and this will lift to the north and west tomorrow swinging a cold front through with it. and this will bring additional rain tomorrow afternoon. the coolest spot is between new york city and philadelphia. but with the humidity it doesn't feel cool. and richmond has sun and 84 degrees. we are back with the dew points around 70 degrees, so that tropical atmosphere has returned. so in the accuweather forecast areas of fog and drizzle overnight tonight and another round of showers tomorrow afternoon into

we go now to meteorologist adam joseph in the weather center. what's the latest on the track. >> the latest is that the track is still on to hit southern florida but the storm has strengthened a little bit this afternoon. it's a dangerous category four but it's only 1 miles per hour off of a category five so basically you're looking at this as a cat five storm with the eye right between the bahamas here and cuba is right here and it will continue to squeeze its way between the two and then aim into western and southern florida. as we take a look at the watches and the warnings all the bahamas key largo, naples under hurricane warnings so it's not just the coastline it's interior south florida and watches extend all the way up to tampa to melbourne and even close to orlando. future tracker wind gusts this is sunday at 8:00 a.m. when the worstill be hit keys, cellaring go. yougo. 101 in key west, 122 in key largo 48 miles per hour at that time in fort myers as that center of the storm heads into the central part of florida by 9:30 sunday night. to

for more on that warning we go to meteorologist cecily tynan who is in for adam joseph. >> hi, rick andsharrie. josÉ did weaken to a tropical storm yesterday. it's still a tropical storm but the hurricane hunters are flying in now to get new information for the 5 o'clock update. beginning to get a bit more organized moving towards the northwest at 9 miles an hour. it is causing some large swells already. as we head into the weekend its expected to make this turn up to the north and then parallel the coast. the actual center of the track is about 200 miles off the coast but as we know, you don't just look at the center, you look at this whole cone and the western most cone does bring it very close to the jersey shore and then likely close to cape cod. so, if you look at the chance of tropical storm force winds, you see the best chance along the east coast would be near nantucket but closer to our region right now based on the latest track we have about a 30 percent chance of seeing sustained winds at more than 39 miles per hour along the shore. now, if this track shifts a little bit fart
