adam klotz is in the fox extreme weather center with the answer. >> you know, this is a tough forecasts california as we are going to continue to be dry and see the winds pick back up the next couple of days. here's the satellite and radar. as you noticed, there is not a cloud in the sky. no moisture. the air has been bone-dry out there. the very low humidity obviously helped spark some of these fires, so we do have high fire danger across both southern california and northern california, getting again from northern los angeles, getting to some of the areas that jeff paul was just talking about. then again, stretching all the way down towards san diego, all areas where fire danger is high because the winds are picking back up and of course, we are talking about that very -- those very dry conditions. in northern california, stretching all around the bay area up towards sacramento, which would be right in this region, then you get towards the camp fire, about three hours north, another very large fire in northern california that's spreading quickly. it doesn't look as though the weather

adam klotz is in the weather center. : southern california with the santa ana winds will make it a tougher fire to fight. when you get into southern california you are talking about extreme to at least severe drought in some of those locations. 6-10 inches below seasonal rainfall in those cases. in of any these places you are seeing what the brown spots, that means air has less than 10% humidity. that's bone dry and makes them easier to ignite. that will improve in a couple days. the wind have been tough. you are looking at winds only 15-20 miles an hour. but that's been on the lower end of what the wind have been producing. consistently 15-20-mile-an-hour wind. gusts up to 50, 60, 70 miles an hour. that will be an issue throughout the course of this evening. but running into tuesday also. so we have wind gust warnings across much of southern california. most of of those bigger fires, the woolsey fire north of los angeles, the gusting wind will continue to be an issue. at least today and tomorrow this continues to be a pr

adam klotz in the extreme weather center with more on the smoke impact. >> hi there, leland.it continues to be an issue and the winds has shifted again. and they're dealing with the high fire danger, current it's the conditions, again, bone dry humidity. the winds picking back up. we've got red flag warnings in north central california an area where the fires have been going. there's paradise. each one of the little lines is a wind barb, showing the direction of the winds. it's picking up the locations where the fire is high and danger is high and pushing it. even though there's not a fire in san francisco, it's push west and driving that smoke. unfortunately smoke is an issue throughout the entire weekend. for the first time in a long time i can say there's rain on the horizon, it just isn't going to be here immediately. here is what we're looking at as futurecast. i did run you from saturday stays bone dry, sunday stays dry, monday dry, and you see precipitation off the coast early next week, probably won't be until the middle of the week. but there will be much-needed rain

jon: for look at weather conditions that they are facing california, adam klotz is live in the fox extremefortunately there still plenty of areas with a high fire dangers are still in place with some of the conditions that allow it to be so. this is satellite and radar in the last six hours. it is bone dry and will stay dry the next couple of days. relative humidity is very low. start to see the darker colors, thus getting down to 25 percent and 10 percent relative humidity. it means there is no moisture in the air with obviously that would help fight the fires. as a result there still locations where the fire danger is high where buyers could spread or new fires could still start. we are looking at areas around paradise where the camp fire is paid a large area they are still playing very close attention to with red flag warning. even if you're not right next to where the fires are, the smoke has become very bad. air-quality alerts now stretching to the south and central portions of central california as well. get into some of these areas and it is indicating levels with particles in the a
