there is an apartment complex on 35th and adeline that was evacuated as a result of this huge fire that many of you probably have seen on the freeway, if you're driving out earlier this morning. either on 580. highway 24 as well. but certainly a huge response to this fire. a huge fire. san pablo avenue. and 39th. here in emeryville. and as we take it back out here live, crews continuing to pour water on to this building. that is roughly about an hour, hour and a half ago, a portion of it collapsed just a little bit. because it wasn't fully constructed, we expect that some more of it may collapse here. the other concern here, guys, is that there is a crane that is nearby. and probably about a block from where we are standing here, and that is also in danger of possibly, possibly collapsing. so what we are hearing is that this fire has been burning for so long, that there is a possibility of that collapsing as well. but we are staying on top of it. oakland fire crews have several ladder truck, aerial ladder trucks, pouring water on the fire. almeda county as well. several people evacuated
