lisa: why do people trade on the adp?ike: it's a question that everyone asks about probably because there is nothing else to trade on today. you could trade on the fed today, but the fed does not meet every month on the adp days. most days there is not much else to trade on. it does gave economists one more data point to fold into their forecasts. people have learned that you get burned pretty quickly with adp sometimes. jonathan: thank you as always. traders going to trade. this just came out from slovakia. they are asking the eu for a three-year exemption to the import ban on russian crude. important to go over this, the german dependency on russian crude has gone from a third to about 12%. one third of their crude imports are coming from russia. slovakia is in the 90's. tom: all i know is that the russian bond of 2042 is price up, yields down. dollar-ruble is stunning. 66, down from the 80 level. jonathan: the money that slovakia has to spend as they work through this, who knows if they will get the exemption. they say

we recently surveyed a few weeks ago small firm clients at adp. we found that hiring challenge was the top challenge, a big jump, in the share of small companies saying that they're out there trying to hire and can't find qualified workers. do they want workers? they're just not able to compete on wages in this environment. charles: so to that point, looking at atlanta fed job wage tracker. people switching jobs, on average, getting a little bit over 7% raise. if you stay in the same job, you get a 5% raise. glass door, average job looker are looking for 9,000 dollars in raised wages. these are hefty numbers. how sustainable is all this. >> not very. that is not for every industry. that is high paying industry, used to call them office jobs, people back in the full office full time, kitchen table jobs. but when you talk about the industry hardest hit, the greatest need of employees, that is leisure and hospitality. still down about a million 1/2 from where it was in 2019. these are low paid jobs. historically, if you look at adp data, wage data, y
