lots of people had lined up to try to be the first to get their hands on the new air jordans that cost about $180 each. people lining up early, we're told as many as 2,000 people were here at hill top mall, one of those firing shot into the air. one arrest, no injuries t crowd broken up and everyone sent home for a few hours before the mall reopened. so far the mall reopened without incident and so things getting back to normal here at hill top mall, but you can't find the air jordans here, that part of the mall has been shut down. somewhere else in the bay area, big crowds in san bruno this morning, waiting to get into san feran mall. no injuries there, but people said yeah, this is a crazy thing to do. >> actually it's ridiculous for some shoes, you should not be -- you should not put people in harm's way for some shoes. they don't even look that good, it's just because of the name brand. it's because of what jordan did, he's such a popular person, people go crazy for his product. >> reporter: here's a look at the object of desire, it is the new air jordan, again about $180 on sale.
