it had to bust through some dry air mass. the last time we had rain was 34 days ago. so it had to have a lot of muscle power there. we will continue to see some rain and breezy conditions and also when it's not raining we'll see some fog developing because this is a warm frontal system over riding the cooler air mass. second storm system arrives by tomorrow afternoon into the evening hours. the third system by sunday evening. look at the fetch of moisture all the way back to the hawaiian islands. this system is pretty much out of here but a lot of unstable air mass behind it so we keep the rain in the forecast. this is storm 2 that will interfere with your evening commute tomorrow. by 10:00 tomorrow morning about .2" in san jose, with .25" in -- about .25" in san francisco tomorrow. an inch by tomorrow night. saturday night nearly 3 inches of rain to the north, a hefty total in san francisco even san jose with over 1.5" of rain. tomorrow 50 to 60 degrees. the extended forecast calls for rain by the tail end of the 49ers game. but be prepared just in case it speeds up.
