patuxent naval air station, 64. baltimore, 61 degrees mentd there are a couple of spots some the 50s. winchester, virginia, 57 degrees. there is washington, d.c. a couple of clouds here and there popping up on the satellite imagery. what we will see is some clouds during the morning hours. they'll burn off and we'll get more sunshine in here. there is th cold front we've been mentioning. it is out in the midwest. it is producing some significant rainfall across portions of iowa and miouri including some thunderstorm activity as well there. that is the frontal system that will make its way here over the course of the snow and it could trigger some showers and thunderstorms for us late saturday and on sunday during the day. let me show you the jet treatment to the weekend. really warm air, blazing heat again in the plains states where many areas are at or over 100 degrees. for us, we do get some heat building in before the cold front comes through as is often the case. so we're going to see our highs in the mid- to up

little bit warmer near the water. 76 at the naval air station. all the cities i was talking about recording the low record temperatures was off to the west and south. chicago at 70. minneapolis, st. paul, didn't make it out of the 60s. that's where the flow is coming from. it's going to stick around for a while. this mild air you don't want to call cool. a front stalled on the east coast during the day tomorrow still. and disturbance move up along that front seat tomorrow night into monday. so that's why we put the slight chance of showers in the forecast monday and tuesday. but that doesn't look like a big deal like it's going to affect traffic or anything like that. it will keep the temperatures down. we'll make it back into the upper 80s on wednesday. maybe near 90. but the best chance for rain this week i think will be thursday. we'll keep those temperatures in the 80s all the way through the weekend. no 90s again. low 80s as a matter of fact for the next couple of days. that's good stuff. just like we have had for most of the summer. >> make
