this was western alaska. can't even name a town in western alaska, nome is one of the biggest, that's only a couple of thousands people. and that's where the pictures are coming from. it was literally like a hurricane. winds up to 90 to 100 miles per hour, with blizzard conditions and temperatures about 8 degrees, no the a petty picture there was some damage, but this is a weather-hardy area, a lot of fishing communities, just restoring power will be the biggest thing for some of these people. as far as what we're dealing with today, we have a little rain heading to new england. we went a week and a half with no wet weather at all. this is mostly heading for areas of eastern new england, from hartford to providence, boston definitely up through new hampshire and maine you're going to get the worst of this with maybe an inch or two only a chance of showers, new york and philly. a cold morning in the middle of the country, wind chills are brutal this morning, but at least it will be sunny. and maybe flurries fo
