new mexico yesterday, albuquerque was 58. if there's one spot in the country that's going to get winter weather in the days ahead it's northern new mexico. they are actually under winter storm watch. they are going to get heavy snow and wintry mess mixed in with that. that's pure snow. for much of the west we are quiet. we're going to stay quiet. here we are in the middle of the rainy season. it looks at least like another week with dry weather everywhere. hopefully the pattern may break down and change after that. it's status quo for now. temperatures kind of average with pacific air in place. 60 today in san francisco, l.a. a little cooler. more clouds have moved in but not any moisture with it. 68 l.a. 65. there's that change for albuquerque as the colder air moves in and also get to a rain any reporting station on these maps. so january thaw has been good for some not all. we're not bitter. >> that's true. thank you very much. >>> still ahead a new report about law enforcement secretly using radar devices plus the unwelco
