. >> and i'm alex savage. this crash comes just two days after that midair collision in the washington, dc area that killed 67 people. investigators say it was a medical transport jet that went down in philadelphia tonight. it was carrying a child patient. her mother and four crew members. the jet's operator, jet rescue air ambulance, says that tonight it cannot confirm any survivors. the plane came crashing down shortly after takeoff and went into a residential neighborhood near a shopping mall. authorities said they can't confirm the number of injuries on the ground. emergency crews rushed to the scene where the crash set homes on fire and left a trail of debris. >> our fire, our e.m.s, our police department, they have been here working vigorously to ensure that we get this perimeter and the surrounding area blocked off to ensure that we make public safety and health our number one priority. >> and this crash happened less than three miles from northeast philadelphia airport. it happened around 6:00 tonight.
