>> alex presha, thank you. >>> overseas now to ukraine. new video has emerged of a deadly car bombing deep in russian-occupied territory. this as fighting continues near ukraine's largest nuclear power plant, raising fears of a radiation emergency. families are rushing to flee the area. abc's britt clennett on the ground in ukraine again for us tonight. >> reporter: tonight, horrific new images showing a deadly car bombing in eastern ukraine. video circulating online shows the vehicle exploding in russian occupied starobilsk earlier this month. kyiv saying a former ukrainian official who joined the russian-backed forces in the region was killed. it's unclear who is responsible. this attack coming one week before the deadly car bombing outside moscow that killed the daughter of a putin ally. ukraine denies responsibility. this as fighting intensifies around the zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. russia tonight blocking a u.n. treaty that aims to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons, citing concerns over the military activities at the plant.

abc's alex presha joins us live. alex, three of those murders happened in just a matter of days. >> reporter: that's right, janai. today, albuquerque police are investigating a horrible murder, a young man from south asia who's muslim shot to death. they haven't released his name, but there's concern in this community because he's now the third muslim man in coalbuquerq killed in the last two weeks. law enforcement investigating whether this latest murder is connected to the others. if the heinous act were carried out because the victims were muslim. on july 26th, 41-year-old aftab hussain was shot and 41-year-old aftabhussein and then back in november a fourth man, was pkiln with his brother. the president of the islamic center for new mexico telling abc news they haven't gone through anything like this. the fbi now assisting albuquerque pd with this investigation. new mexico's governor's sending additional police to the area and in a statement, anger and saddened this happened. linsey, going forward, investigators a

abc's alex presha joins us with that. hey, janai, good morning. you know as a parent it is simply unimaginable losing a child but here it is further compounded by the fact that these parents believe this was an accident that didn't have to happen. this morning the parents of 12-year-old molly steinsapir are demanding change after their daughter died in traumatic e-bike accident last year. according to the lawsuit the family filed against rad power bikes, a highly successful electric bike company, molly and her 11-year-old best friend were riding an e-bike similar to this one with molly on the back. while going down a steep hill, the bike began to shake and wobble causing the bike to crash. even with a helmet, molly sustained a traumatic brain injury. she spent more than two weeks in the hospital before passing away. >> i just massaged her hands and her feet, and i sang to her, and i read to her. i read the book that her class was reading because i didn't want her to be behind when she woke up. >> reporter: the lawsuit clai
