allie rasmus joins us now with more. good afternoon, allie. >> reporter: good afternoon, tori. that shoots happening on a restaurant at the monarch bay golf course. the wedges restaurant had rented out one of its banquet rooms for what was supposed to be a birthday party. police say that's not the case. they say the organizer of the event advertised this and charged people $10 to attend and it was not a family gathering. >>> this was a promoted party. invitations were sent out to numerous people that spread throughout the bay area, via ward of roof. they were anticipated there would somewhere between 300 and 600 attendees. >> reporter: and police say only about 125 people showed up. most of them between the ages of 16 and 25 years old. around 10:00, someone opened fire on the dance floor of the ban kit room. four people were shot. the victims were between the ages of 18 and 20 years old. two victims died at nearby hospitals later that night. police say the party promoter did have four state licensed private security guards at the door. partygoers told police that security seeme
