good morning, i'm allison sey mo. ur rvm > hiirgundsa d >> a boat refused to move on ur the potomac at the time the motorcade crossed the bridging. claudia coffey joined us by phone. what is going on? a confusing morning. >> reporter: it has been. i can tell you what we saw when we arrived. i'm along the banks of the potomac between the memorial bridge and the 14th street bridge. when we arrived here we saw about four coast guard boats circling rapidly in a circling pattern in front of us. they had their guns out on the boats, on the front of the boats. they were right by the guns. it was a s ear as to what was happening. they were here for maybe t5-10 minutes, doing the circling pattern with their guns drawn. hen they sped off in the direction of the 14th street bridge. they were on the other side of the 14th street bridge for maybe another 5-10 minutes. and now we don't see them anywhere. but very interesting. and somewhat stunning scene when you arrive here, especially for visitors to show up and walking along this

good morning. >> reporter: good morning, steve and allison.and they're telling us that a suspect they have in custody is in connection with this carjacking and abduction from last night. police were searching for hours in lorton just south of here at the springfield metro stop for something and they did take someone in custody following the search. this all happened before 7:00 last night. police say they got a call from the victim herself saying that she had been carjacked and abducted at gunpoint here at the metro stop. the parking garage here at springfield metro. the suspect allegedly through her in the trunk of her chevy camaro and drove her around for an hour and dropped her off at silverdaleroad. she then ran to a house and called 911. police were able to stop the camaro. they went on a chase for a while and then were able to catch up with him after he crashed in lorton. now i also talked with a metro rider this morning who said he had heard about the abduction and says he will be watching over his shoulder a little more now. >> i'm try
