the bay area aloha festival will get underway at san mateo event center just hours from now. s torres joins us live live from there with more. james, good morning frank, good morning to you. that festival doors won't open for several hours here but organizers tell us that they're planning a moment of silence practically right when the festival starts. they'll also have a number of different booths and events for information on how you can help those who are surviving and those who are suffering over on the maui islands now, we've learned more every day on just how much destruction and damage has been left behind from these deadly wildfires. of course, all surrounding the island town of lahaina. more than 80 people now dead. about thousands of buildings, homes, offices all destroyed. volunteer groups are now on the ground. we've heard about strike teams from all over the country, including here in the bay area, helping to get supplies, information and resources to victims and survivors. we spoke to a red cross volunteer who lives right there on the island of maui. there's need,
