and last week when i showed you these out towards the altamont pass, they were all east or north. well, tracy is now west of 21 mines road. north is west southwest at 11. altamont is west southwest at 27, and livermore is west and humidity is all up there, almost 90%, 80 to 90%. so that's a big change from last week. 40s 50s on the temps here we are running cooler. i'll say santa rosa is running 13 degrees cooler than 24 hours ago. petaluma nine novato is close and also at nine petaluma 11. most are running about 2 to 6 with san jose six degrees cooler. now some activity could easily pop up later today. i'll say marin county north looks to be the line, but the coolest air doesn't really filter in until tonight, so it's going to be on the cool side. even with sun. you know, it's one of those days. you're in the sun, there's no breeze. you're like, it's not so bad. you go around the corner and the breeze picks up and you go, man, it's cool. so 60 for high temps. most of the rain stays north for now. some indication that another system could be on the way for friday. saturday. we'll

altamont only got to 85 degrees last night. same thing in the oakland hills and berkeley hills. to mid 80s for overnight lows when you are staying that warm. it is just a cumulative effect. it just wears you down. tonight a different story. 50s and 60s in the lower elevations and temperature ins the highest elevations dropping to the lower half of the 70s . then, we heat back up. north bay, you will heat back up to the low to mid 90s . along the coast, temperatures mostly in the 70s , san francisco hits 80 degrees. the hot spots east of the oakland hills the, fewer of the triple digit temperatures tomorrow. we'll see more sword saturday and sunday. let's take a look at where we end up with the heat risk by tomorrow. ha will be high, highlighting the higher terrain spots where the temperatures don't drop that much overnight. the high heat risk spreads out to a greater extent. looks like sunday will be the more comfortable half of the weekend but that is not saying a whole lot. temperatures in the mid 70s tomorrow to the low 80s on saturday and sunday. relief arrives first along t

lowest point this morning, the hills above oakland, 85 degrees for a low, similar temperatures around altamont. the thermal band effect above 800 feet in elevation temperatures did not drop much at all. fortunately, i don't think it will be as much impact for the mountainous areas closer to the coast. farther inland the hills and mountains in the east bay, farther down the peninsula into the santa clara on either side abnormally warm low temperatures once again by early tomorrow morning, no relief during the nighttime hours while the rest of us see temperatures dropping down to 60s in some spots, 50s. it's warmer than normal, but at least we get a few hours of free air conditioning. then temperatures heat up once again, a good 15 to 20 degrees above average inland, reaching the lower 90s for much of the north bay, a little fog, still 97 degrees around healdsburg, 80 in san francisco, not as far above normal, still very warm, east of the oakland hills upper 90s and low 100s and in the santa clara valley mid-90s in san jose, upper 90s for los gatos and morgan hill by tomorrow afternoon. categori

same for livermore out to the altamont pass mines road, north north east, and then even out to tracy north. not strong, but it is east. and so until that turns our temperatures will be a little above average, even with the higher clouds 4050 on the temps here. so a couple of systems, a lot of high clouds today, that next system will start to increase the fog and low clouds tonight, tomorrow. but it's the system coming out of the gulf of alaska. that's a lot of cold air up here. when you see these speckled bands right back. and that's cold air. the problem i have with the pattern is these lows are doing this. they're going this way. the head over to nevada. they're not doing this. and that makes a big difference. and if we get rain or not, northern california. yes. northeast. maybe the sierra for us, i think it looks like santa rosa. calistoga north looks to be about the line. october skies has a lot of high clouds, but the coast is clear fog wise, cool to mild lows high. clouds east northeast, breeze 70 to near 80. but big news will be even if we don't get rain, it will be noticeably

the tri-valley, the altamont pass, which begins to lift in elevation.ust talking about the commuters. we have a lot of fine fuels in that area, very dried out. that's why even the smattering, the light precipitation today certainly does help. but we're talking about winds 20 to 30mph, gusts up to 60 in the highest elevations. we're talking about wind advisories all across all of our local bridges and the areas where we do have that red flag warning, in effect, does incorporate the north bay all the way into the santa cruz mountains. and think about it, when's the last time you've heard about a fire in the santa cruz mountains or around the fremont area? these are areas of concern. now, in addition to the red flag warning, in effect, we still have our beach hazard statement until 10:00 tonight. very big, large swells and waves lapping on shore. meanwhile, on shore, we're talking 70s around the central bay, 76 degrees in san jose, a little bit warmer than that to the north, 60 for pacifica. not bad. and still mid and high 70s in the eastern portion of our
