over here, we have a little bit of slowing out of the altamont pass. that's more than we saw last week. you should see a little bit of a build there. it's only 22 minutes from the altamont pass to the dublin interchange. in the south bay, we call your attention to this. this is breaking news this morning. the industrial fire off the area, this is san jose international airport. de la cruz is open, the major roadway. that is still open. pete suratos continues to follow that scene at the paper facility. we are going to follow that. it's not really impacting the drive, but may be visible from 87 and 101. keep that in mind. crews are taking care of that fire as well. they are make progress gre. over toward the bay bridge, a back up for the cash lanes at the bay bridge toll plaza. we'll see if it sorts out after they all open their lanes. hillsdale lot is closed for caltrain. keep that in mind. it starts today. there's an alternate off south delaware. just a note driving through the area, that lot is closing and will change for the next year. the north bay,

also you see the altamont pass at the very top is very crowded. we talked about 880 southbound at 237. we have a crash involving a wrong way vehicle. we still have that vehicle there and we have a front view of the van that was driving the wrong way. it ended up in a serious crash. the driver of this vehicle was taken to the hospital with major injuries. it looks like they are getting ready to put it on a tow truck but it's causing delays. one lane is blocked. you can see this is a big visual hazard. a few other cars are still here that were involved. this is a look at 80 westbound. you can see traffic is backed up all the way to the maze. metering lights are on and traffic is going to be okay. if you are driving on interstate 880 northbound, slow traffic past high street. if you are in alameda today, i would not recommend using the posey tube. they are fixing the traffic light on webster and stargell. that will cause a big delay. go to one of the bridges to get off the island. let's bring stephen. >>> thank you, sal. numbers still need to be fina

here is a look at live doppler 7, highway 4 the altamonte pass and sunol grade getting most of the wet weather. i've downgraded the storm to a 2 because there is still the potential for light to moderate rain, especially in the south bay and east bait from now up until 8:00 and that's going to leave more standing water for the commute. in fact, here is a look at the next six hours, you can see some yellows rotate through the south bay and also the east bay, but after 8:00 notice the yellows it go away and that's when we will downgrade the storm to a 1 because we will have a chance of isolated showers through noon and then at 4:00 that chance will fade. as i wrap up my accuweather 12-hour planner at 7:00, clouds will open up, a little fog will start forming. let's talk about the streets and what to expect. >>> standing water is what to expect and some pretty good hydroplaning. we have a fog advisory for the center of the bay bridge, the toll plaza is clear here as are lanes getting into san francisco but the roads are wet. let's take a look overall, we have green, this blue on your map

down 20 altamont pass there may be a little there as well between livermore and tracy and up to discovery bay. there still some holding on toward san jose and milpitas but a lot of this has moved into the east san jose footholds and the santa clara valley. a little left in the santa cruz mountains but we are about done. southern california is not. they are now starting to get the rain. san diego has had good rain. because of the rain and santa barbara for the burned areas, they have a flash flood warning that will go until 5:30. there will be some moderate to heavy rain there. 40s and 50s for the temperatures but the cool air will work its way and. 50s for most. cloverdale, 52. i expect some of these to the north to go down a little bit. look at the breeze. it never materialized yesterday. it was almost all rain in the sierra. a beneficial system for us. we will take the rain but they could use the snow. the system is pushing out of the area and we will be on the dry side. there will be another system clipping us on thursday. more to the north. most of the rain will be out of the picture

the altamont pass -- we had an earlier crash on 580 at 205. that's been moved to the side.as not a major crash but it did cause a major backed up. many people were looking at it, unfortunately. 205 and 580 are very slow, slower than usual. i would give myself an extra 10 or 15 if this is your commute. if you are from liver to more or pleasanton, looks okay. and the slow traffic on 238 near 880. a minor accident there as well. the extra 10 minutes on this stretch through castro valley could help you as well. 280, i think you could stay on schedule. this looks good getting up to highway 17. at the bay bridge, also on schedule. a 10-15 minute delay at the toll plaza. what the weather like today? >>> it's a little cold right now. we do have some clearing with the cloud cover and there is a breeze around oakland, alameda and san francisco and along the embarcadero and northwest at 11 miles per hour. i've seen 14 in the city. in other locations it's calm. i was hard-pressed to find too much. sun and clouds today. partly sunny. a dry and warmer weekend on tap. there is a cloud cov

live doppler 7 picking up on the scattered showers here and really east of livermore, the altamonte passrain as well. in the mountains, it has been rain in south lake, truckee, the tahoe valley airport. if you're at kirkwood, above 8,000 feet, about eight inches of snow. you need the higher base. the next system, as the first wave moves through, it will be rain. the second system will change over to snow, hopefully a foot of snow. 51 in fremont and san francisco. 45 on the coast. 41 in santa rosa. another look outside, you can see how calm the bay waters are. wind with this system as well. so we have a couple of weekends to enjoy -- a couple of days over the weekend to enjoy the weather. 52 in gilroy. we will be looking at more sun than clouds today. so that should be nice. but the high clouds will increase tomorrow. here is another look at the sierra nevada. you can see above 8,000 feet. the snow here, and they're grooming the man made snow, so still folks skiing out there, have the mountain to themselves, pretty much. some showers mainly in the south. then partly cloudy this afternoon.
