i am a cardiologists, and i am also the chief of staff. i represent 350 physicians who provide health care to 300,000 residents in the community south of market. good are want to speak about the delivery of health care and with this project means -- i want to speak about the delivery of health care and what this project means to patients. everybody knows st. luke's is a safety net. of what he may not know if that the staff has been recognized as one of only 410 hospitals in the entire country to get 100% graves in quality of patient safety. this did not happen overnight. it has expanded our ability to care for patients at every level pure year when we have a case we do not have to go begging medical centers to take our patients. give we just call. the people of san francisco have been are beneficiaries. secondly, this whole process gives hope for the future. we have an aging medical community. it is hard to come to san francisco and live here. it is very expensive. in 1871, a physician provided our mission statement. the doors are open wid

i am a neighbor. i was in district 6. i am now in district 8. i am here to talk about the liquor license in terms of the history of taverns in san francisco. san francisco has had a great tradition of taverns. until the turn of the 20th century, there was one tavern for every 50 people in san francisco, more than churches. i think that is probably still true. the reason taverns were such a popular place was because working people needed a club. the bars or a place where ordinary men and women could gather, eat and drink, exchange information, but also due politics, raise funds, create a community. the eagle is in the best tradition of those kinds of community structures, the glue and held marginalized communities together, which is why i am very much opposed to the liquor license transfer. if we are looking at the needs of the community, the convenience and necessity of this, i want to tell you transferring this liquor license flies in the face of community convenience and necessity. i am an organizer in the tenderloin.r, and they are assigned to the analysis about what the projected impact will be on the environment of our society. it is hard to know the numbers they are producing when they are using numbers from 2001 about their employees riding the bus. and the numbers came out about the possibil's. it really brings into question the integrity of the numbers they are producing, and it is questionable how they came about to be. 60% of public transit ridership, whatn:+dñ is going to happen whe statements campus is closed? we do when the st. luke's -- when the st. luke's campus is closed? you'll have people having to take three or four buss connections to get out here. we also need to make sure we get more affordable housing for all people in san francisco. late -- there will be less funds available for down payments. that money should be available for everyone. $14 million available, but what the cpmc kids is not right. cú=we have to make sure that we demand more money for housing and rental owners
