wednesday out of texas and amarillo amarillo, you can see the snow still blowing and falling to the ground. i expect this to continue throughout the day. there's the low pressure system continuing to move closer to the gulf of mexico. as it does some will moderate the temperature and houston and mississippi you will be dealing mainly in the liquid form of precipitation. as we continue we track down to the gulf and pick up more moisture. the deep south will get drenched looking at quite a bit of rainfall from mississippi to the carolinas, thursday and friday and saturday. further up north, we're talking drier weather and cooler temperatures as well. in oklahoma city and hewns, you're much cooler at 7 degrees. 14 13 and clouds and rain comes in later on. the cold front slamming against the western coast will continue to bring rain and unstable weather. as we go to europe we're talking about a lot of rainfall to the south and pressure out of the i iberian peninsula and mediterranean sea and towards italy. it will pick up even more moisture and cause problems for the balkan peninsula. severe w

amarillo, texas, picked up 11 inches of heavy, wet snow.make its way up the east coast as we go through friday and saturday. what's going to happen with this storm, the track takes it down into texas, around the gulf on friday, up the coast on saturday. this will be a full-blown nor easter. a couple of things lacking, a lot of cold air, borderline temperatures for the coastal areas. heavy, wet snow. it's also a fast-moving storm. we don't have a high-pressure system. it's in and out in a hurry. the snow totals. the highest total may be i-95, not going to be blockbuster totals. you can wait a day to see what happens with this storm. the worst of it will be saturday evening up into areas of new england. this is how i see it playing out. a very narrow band of snow not a lot of snow for central new england or western new york or pennsylvania. right along i-95 it looks like the best chance for that snow thomas. boston new york somewhere 2 inches to 4 inches. still more of an inconvenience than a crippling storm at this point. >> thank you. >>> c

snow caused problems down near amarillo, texas making a mess of the roads.it was a glaze of ice as well. we picked up one to three inches of snow down near amarillo and lubbock, texas where we have winter weather advisories through the night. up into new hampshire, we had not a lot of snow. again, only a few inches, but right at the time of day when all of the cars were on the roads and we had a 25-vehicle pile up shut down 93 in new hampshire for a time yesterday. you can see it just made such a mess. now we will talk about that wintry weather for some but it's mostly a rain event throughout the rest of the day today. on the leading edge of it on the northern side of it we have snow and ice. because of that, we have winter weather advisories. the purple there in western pennsylvania, that is the freezing rain advisory. an ice warning earlier today. a winter storm warning across new england where we will see most of the snow. add to that a threat of severe weather. we had some tornado warnings issued earlier this morning. we could see more tornadoes break ou
